John Hamilton, Lead Designer
John’s pool industry training has been vocational which has exponentially increased his speed and ability pertaining to drafting
and design.
John Hamilton was born and raised in Austin Texas. He graduated from Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah Georgia in 2007, with his degree in Interactive Design. John has always known that he wanted to pursue a career in art and design.
He has worked on various projects ranging from computer modeling for games to graphic design and motion graphics. John broke into the pool industry when he was hired on a Keith Zars Pools in San Antonio.
There he went under the wing of multiple experienced landscape architects who coached John on the intricacies of pool design.
He quickly learned and excelled in all software pertaining to the job, including Pool Studio and AutoCAD.
John loved the ability to quickly and easily create 3D environments using Pool Studio. Then using the skills he learned, he branched out into the custom home design field where he used Pool Studio to model homes, just as he did with pools. He also expanded his AutoCAD drafting experience while under the direction of a Certified Professional Building Designer.
All of John’s pool industry training has been vocational which has exponentially increased his speed and ability pertaining to drafting and design.
He views his work as art and presents his work in a fashion that adheres to the strict, high quality level that he was trained in, by both school and trade professionals.
