Tarry Town Reflecting Retreat

Aqua Builders worked with Landscape Architecture firm Thompson + Hanson to build out this elegant pool and spa in the Tarrytown neighborhood of Austin. The clients chose a perimeter overflow pool design, where water continuously flows over the entire surface of the pool creating a harmonic visual and sound element.

The focal point of the outdoor design is the water-wall along the far edge of the pool, adorned with custom designed and fabricated bird sculptures, commissioned by a local artist.

The way the water flows over the bird sculptures create nature inspired sounds and a peaceful ambiance, especially going from day to night where the birds are lit with thoughtfully designed landscape lighting, turning the entire pool into a work of art unto itself.
