Aqua Builders worked with a talented design team to build out a highly custom pool and spa on a large wooded and secluded property in the Tarrytown neighborhood of Austin. The clients wanted a spherical structure, pulling inspiration from nature. Instead of traditional pool steps, pancake boulders lead swimmers organically into the pool and the design incorporates Texas limestone and site specific materials, creating an unexpected natural oasis in the middle of the city. The multi-level pool and spa has been expertly designed and built to feel as though the swimming hole has been a part of the land and hosted swimmers over centuries. The infinity edge of the pool creates a harmonic visual and musical element, and the pool + spa, clad in natural stone and basalt tile, expertly fuses materials found in nature with modern lines and lifestyle touches in creating an outdoor experience that feels at once cozy and intimate while also exhilarating and worldly.
